India Cricket Coach Encourages Sex Before Games

The India national Cricket team coach tells his players to have sex before matches because it increases testosterone and leads to more aggressive play. The England team dissagrees.
Tim Noakes, a professor and sports scientist at the University of Cape Town, was quoted in the article as saying: “Sex was not a problem, but being up till 2am, probably having a few drinks at a bar while trying to pick someone up, on the eve of a game, almost always was.”
I have to agree with Noakes. Sex isnt the problem. The late nights and drinking was.

Immortality 20 years away?

Interesting article in the London Telegraph. An American scientist says that humans might be able to reach imortality through nanotechnology. Talks about the use of mechanical hearts and how nanobots will replace blood cells. Its a very interesting read. I don't know if immortality is such a good thing though (but that's a whole other debate). I guess anything is possible.

Flu and football

The Florida football team has been hit hard with the flu this week. My colleague Mike McCall wrote a nice notebook about for the Alligator (shameless self promotion). Check it out:
